iliana & filipe - engagement session

When a client like Iliana comes along and has such genuine excitement to have us do a photoshoot for her and her man, it really warms our hearts. This photoshoot was incredibly fun and with the amount of love these two show for eachother they should have no problems in life at all ;)
We captured all these photos in and around the old port of Montreal and we had to rush a little bit too because of the rain that was forecast but luckily it only caught us in the end for a little bit. We are super stoked with the way everything turned out and you have to scroll down to believe how cute this couple is! Thank you both and we hope you all enjoy the outcome of our photography, their love and this beautiful city…
We stumbled on a fantastic looking restaurant and just had to take a few shots inside. The decor was so original and the menu looked really good so I think we’ll be coming back there ;)

Claudia&Simon
Written by Magda and Bartek on October 17, 2009 – 7:53 pm - Phew! After having to re-schedule Claudia and Simon’s engagement photosession due to nasty weather we finally got a chance to photograph this good lookin’ couple just in time before the wedding.
We love sunset photos so we suggested to do the shoot just before the sun goes down to catch some golden light (called the “Golden Hour” in photography). It was super duper cold but they toughed it out at the beautiful and unique Rene Levesque Park here in Montreal. It’s a really cool long piece of land that comes out into Lake Saint Louis with lots of amazing contemporary art, gorgeous trees and stunnig views…the perfect place for some romantic photos. :)
Claudia and Simon rocked it out and we’re thrilled with the results! We hope you are too and we’ll see you at the wedding in a couple of weeks! Happy planning!!!

Eve+Mo=Engaged
Written by Magda and Bartek on October 1, 2009 – 10:13 pm - Eve really wanted to have some engagement photos taken of her and her fiance, Mo. However Mo didn’t get what all the hoopla was about so he wasn’t too keen on the idea. But eventually after Eve batted her lashes his way, he couldn’t resist and agreed to come.
Literally a few minutes into the photoshoot, Mo tells us that this is way more fun than he ever imagined. We absolutely LOVE it when that happens! It’s extremely flattering and we’re always thrilled to hear that couples have fun in front of the lens!
I think people have this perception that photosessions and wedding photos have to be cheesy, old school, traditional, posed, awkward, the list goes on…but they don’t have to at all! Not only do we make sure we get everyone comfortable when they’re “modeling” for us but our photos capture people in a new and fresh way. We completely throw out the traditional image people have when they think “wedding photos” and we throw in lots of laughter, lifestyle, fun, fashion inspiration and we get the images you see here.
We had a blast with Eve and Mo! They are infectious with their constant laughter and they seriously love eachother, it’s adorable. Here are some of our favourite images from the shoot. Oh and we also took them to our favourite cupcake place in Old Montreal called Les Glaceurs. They are just to die for!!! If you’re in Montreal and you are craving a cupcake…you must go there! They are ah-may-zing!

Rebeca & Vince: Engaged!
Written by Magda and Bartek on May 5, 2009 – 7:54 pm - Rebeca and Vince are funny! They told us that they’re shy in front of a camera and that they are a little bit nervous for the photoshoot (99% of couples feel this way at first ). After a bit of convincing words that they’re going to ROCK and have a blast, we started off the photo shoot at downtown Ottawa, and raced with the sun to end off in a field and the beach with the beautiful sunset. Aaaaaand just as we expected Rebeca and Vince oozed confidence and struck poses like true models! We had such a blast with them, and their loved showed in every picture making it thaaat much better! Check out the images below ;)
