Written by Magda and Bartek on October 28, 2009 – 9:21 pm - We absolutely love it when couples just go for it on a photoshoot. And that’s exactly what Mary and Chris did! We decided on the photoshoot to be in the Old Port (yes, we have a soft spot for this gorgeous piece of history in Montreal!) and Mary and Chris’ enthusiasm and willingness to let go and just be into eachother really came through. It was another wedding that we photographed just the photosession for and to say the least, it was a blast!!! These two can really work the camera…we’re lucky because all our couples seem to have a hidden modeling side in them ;)
Mary and Chris, may your new life together bring you nothing but joy and happiness. Out of the hundreds of frames we fired off during your day, here are some of our favourites…

This alley is killer!!!

Some delicious backlight never hurts…especially when you have a stunning couple to go along with it ;)

Train tracks, black & white = awesome old school

I think this is our favourite of the shoot. Check out the posing!!!

Written by Magda and Bartek on October 22, 2009 – 5:56 pm - Eliane and Kevin chose us to capture them on their wedding day. The difference here was that it was only to be the photo session right after the ceremony! We were very excited about this challenge as it was only going to be just over an hour of shooting. We decided to go to the Old port in Montreal and headed to the beautiful cobblestone filled streets of the upper east side of the Old Port. Unknown to us, Eliane is a fierce model! ;) They are just an adorable couple together and they look ah-mazing on film.
Also, it is very exciting because Eliane used to be a wedding planner in the Caribbean and she recently decided to get back into it! So she is starting up her own wedding planning business and we can’t wait to work with her in the near future because we share the same vision for weddings. So expect to see a plug for her on our blog in the near future!!
Thank you guys for having us capture the two of you during your day and we wish you all the best! Can’t wait to enjoy dinner with you guys again and talk about future business plans ;)
Here are some of our favourite images from the photo session…

One of our faves…

Tell me she’s not workin’ it, I dare ya!

We want this door in our house…but they didn’t let us take it. Oh, and “coincidentally” the number on the door reads “101009″ which “happens” to be E+K’s wedding date! How weird eh? ;)

Love the sincerity in Eliane’s smile :)

The light in this doorway/alley was gorgeous!

Written by Magda and Bartek on October 17, 2009 – 7:53 pm - Phew! After having to re-schedule Claudia and Simon’s engagement photosession due to nasty weather we finally got a chance to photograph this good lookin’ couple just in time before the wedding.
We love sunset photos so we suggested to do the shoot just before the sun goes down to catch some golden light (called the “Golden Hour” in photography). It was super duper cold but they toughed it out at the beautiful and unique Rene Levesque Park here in Montreal. It’s a really cool long piece of land that comes out into Lake Saint Louis with lots of amazing contemporary art, gorgeous trees and stunnig views…the perfect place for some romantic photos. :)
Claudia and Simon rocked it out and we’re thrilled with the results! We hope you are too and we’ll see you at the wedding in a couple of weeks! Happy planning!!!
Mmmm..backlit goodness…

Love. These. Trees.

Cupid?

I think they secretly model at night….

This park was full of really cool contemporary art

Teny+Kevin
Written by Magda and Bartek on October 15, 2009 – 8:34 pm - Teny wasn’t kidding when she said Armenian weddings are crazy and an incredible amount of fun! We had a blast covering Teny and Kevin’s wedding!
It was very bright and sunny day and we were treated to see an Armenian wedding ceremony which was nothing short of beautiful. They had many priests at the ceremony, a gorgeously dressed choir which sang throughout the wedding and a really colorful and happy atmosphere. It was neat beacause there were two levels to the altar and we were allowed to get as close as we wanted to Teny and Kevin, which is sometimes hard during ceremonies.
Kevin treated himself to renting a sweet 2010 Corvette for the duration of the day! It was unique because Kevin was the chauffeur as well ;) Man, does that car ever rip…
The reception was stunning. There was a really really fantastic band that played ethnic songs the entire night, everyone was dancing their butts off and there was a ridiculous amount of good food. Thank you for having us during your special day and all the best in your new home together! Here are some of our favourite shots from your day…

Aaaaaw YEAH!

Gorgeous…

The first kiss as husband and wife!!!

Magda took the girls for some fun in the park…

While I took things a little bit more seriously with the boys.

…or not! ;)

And then, the party started!!!
