ola + robin
Written by Magda and Bartek on June 30, 2010 – 7:53 pm - Well I’m not sure where to start with this one. This wedding is very special for us because it involves two of our closest friends…more specifically, the bride is Magda’s bestest-best-bosom friend in the whole wide world ever since junior high school! If someone had told me years ago that I’d be the professional photographer at Ola’s wedding along with Magda being her matron of honor, I would have told that person to go to the crazy house. But here we are, it really happened…and it was spectacular :)
It was a little different for us this time because I was shooting 94.5% of the time of this wedding solo, with Magda coming in to shoot during the photoshoot as well (she couldn’t help herself). The ceremony was really sweet and touching and the party was soooo much fun! Not only did I get to photograph Ola and Robin but we got to spend time with friends, family, and even our daughter who was the flower girl got to come and party with us! How cool is that?
Ola and Robin worked it like the best models out there, these images rock!!! The ceremony was at our very own Polish church, St. Hyacinth’s in Ottawa…hollaaaaaa! And the reception was held at the very fitting Temple’s Sugar Camp since Robin is in love with and is a pro at wood working! So if you need a state of the art piece of hand crafted furniture, Robin’s your man! No. Seriously, he is awesome at wood working.
We have said this countless times already but we wish you the absolute best that life has to offer, and we’ll be there to capture your 50th anniversary, just you wait!!! (probably with 500 megapixel cameras or something). God Bless and we love you both very very much!!!
On to the photos. Enjoy…

Ola with her bestest! On the other side of the lens…very cool. And is it getting hot in here or is it just me…?

The girls!!!

And the boys.

Love this one! One of Magda’s shots too!

In front of Temple’s Sugar Camp. Love the red.

What whaaaaat? Look at these two…

I think the reception hall fit Ola and Robin perfectly. They decorated it exactly to their characters and to what they like and I think it all turned out fabulously. Magda designed the center pieces amogst other things for Ola too!

And check out this cake!!! SO cute!

iliana & filipe - engagement session
Written by Magda and Bartek on June 27, 2010 – 11:00 pm - Our “job” is wonderful. When a client like Iliana comes along and has such genuine excitement to have us do a photoshoot for her and her man, it really warms our hearts. This photoshoot was incredibly fun and with the amount of love these two show for eachother they should have no problems in life at all ;)
We captured all these photos in and around the old port of Montreal and we had to rush a little bit too because of the rain that was forecast but luckily it only caught us in the end for a little bit. We are super stoked with the way everything turned out and you have to scroll down to believe how cute this couple is! Thank you both and we hope you all enjoy the outcome of our photography, their love and this beautiful city…

We stumbled on a fantastic looking restaurant and just had to take a few shots inside. The decor was so original and the menu looked really good so I think we’ll be coming back there ;)

Tanya + Alex
Written by Magda and Bartek on June 23, 2010 – 6:52 pm - Tanya and Alex got married in Ottawa at the beautiful Notre-Dame Cathedral. The day was filled with a lot of sincere love and joy, the speeches were touching and made many people cry, the stories that were told tugged on everyone’s hearts, especially the part where Tanyas mom mentioned that a 1 year old Tanya was kissed by Pope John Paul II! Tanya and Alex’s love for eachother was unmistakable all day long. We had an absolute blast spending the day with these two and their families and as we told you before Tanya…if you need a new career, you could definitely try out for modeling. Your posing was hawt!
What was really original about this wedding was that the reception was held in the Canada Aviation and Space Musem! We had never shot a wedding there before so we were totally blown away by the fact that all the tables, decor and whole reception area was right smack in the middle of the museum which is one giant hangar with stunning old airplanes all over the place! So as everyone enjoyed the amazing evening, they were also able to check out all the planes and displays as well, how cool is that?
One other note. If any of you brides are looking for a cinematographer for your wedding we absolutely love Media Ball! There aren’t too many videographers that stand out of the crowd and do something really different. Mark and Adriano make films, not videos. They do it with a passion, they really know what they’re doing and on top of it all, they’re amazingly fun to work with! We can’t wait to see the video from Tanya and Alex’s day!! I’ll try and update this post with a link to their blog when it’s up.
Congratulations you guys and please enjoy our favourite captures from your special day…

Fe Pizarro-Jarencio: Congratulations to everybody for pulling off “The Wedding of the Year”!!! I love Tanya”s low back gown and her simple make up,’made her really Glow. I love that the groom and most of the Big Boys wore Barong and that everyone had fun trying the “Tinikling”. And how ’simpatico” Ernie and Jamin looked in their Barongs! In short, I feel really bad we missed the affair. God Bless you Tanya and Alex. Come to visit. Love & Kisses, Tito Pido & Tita Fe Philippines (Jun 28, 2010 12:42 am)
Brittany + Chris: a fabulous Vancouver wedding!
Written by Magda and Bartek on June 14, 2010 – 10:47 pm - So we recently shot a fabulously gorgeous wedding in Vancouver! Not only was this in one of our favourite cities in Canada but it was for an old friend of mine who I worked with at my first animation job years ago!
Brittany and Chris picked a really classy and beautifully situated golf resort to get married in, Rowena’s Inn on the River at the Sand Piper Golf Club. It was located in Harrison Mills about an hour away from Vancouver and all you had around you was mountains and water. A very cozy and romantic location!
The amazing effort that Brittany put into the day making sure everything and everyone looked their very best really made all the difference. Her little details of type writers, bird cages, boxes, bows were so cute and perfect! She really has a talent for this. And did you know this girl runs her own business and is a hot jewellery designer? Check out her site: www.lovetypeb.com !!! Everyone oozed class and noone was afraid to have as much fun as they could all day long!
And what really struck us was how Brittany and Chris never forgot to remind everyone about their strong faith in God! That was the most important part of their special day…it was really touching.
Thank you all for an amazing time, we enjoyed capturing your wedding! Here are some if our favourites of the day :)
The dress…

The boquet…

The bride…

Wow…

Chris looked rather dapper if I do say so myself

Here is Rowena’s Inn. What a beautiful place inside and out.

And this is what I mean when I said Brittany has a talent for this stuff…

Straight out of a magazine these girls were, I swear!

One of Bartek’s favourite shots of the guys:

I have no words for this next one

Brittany got her hair re-done for the reception. Hawt!

Time to paaaaarrrrtay!!!

A moment during one of the touching speeches…

And their first dance!!!

We leave you with even more photos from Brittany and Chris’ wedding if you click play below! :)
